There are many different reasons why women choose to hide or expose their wigs to others. These are just some of the ideas that many women think of when deciding whether to tell people that they wear wigs.
Why do some people hide their wigs:
1. When some people share that their hair is not "real", they feel that they lack self-confidence and dislike themselves more and more.
2. Leaking that you are wearing a wig may make others worry about you and/or your health. If your hair loss is caused by a health problem, then letting others know that you are wearing a wig can help them understand their health.
3. In some cases, revealing that you are wearing a wig may make you uncomfortable and even make you vulnerable to prejudice.
4. Telling others that wearing a wig may cause uncomfortable, exhausting questions that you do not want to answer, and may annoy them.
Why do some people show wigs:
1. When they shared that they were wearing wigs, many felt that their shoulders had lifted heavy objects.
2. Letting others know about your wig allows you to share the happiness and frustration of wearing a wig with others. You have a place to rest and revel.
3. Share the versatility that your wig brings to you. You can wear a different wig every day and change the appearance as many times as you need.
4. If there are support and caring people around them, they may feel that they do not need to cover up their wigs.
